Featured Real Life Wedding | Alasdair and Sara

What was special to you about your wedding?

Definitely seeing all our family and friends in the same place enjoying themselves. With Alasdair’s family living overseas, it was the first time our two families were meeting. It was just an amazing feeling knowing that everyone had travelled so far to share our special day with us.

How did you go about planning your wedding?

I had a wonderful wedding planner, Roxy from The Wedding Planners Whitsundays. She absolutely went above and beyond! I couldn’t have done it without her! I also spent a lot of time with my amazing mum (who was always there for a chat and to offer advice) searching Pinterest and organizing small details. A massive thank you to you both.

Do you have any tips for guest logistics!?

Let them do what they want! It’s not worth the stress of trying to micro manage a big group.

Do you have any tips for future couples?

Use a wedding planner! They’re fantastic and have done it all before. They have a million suggestions if needed and are always there to chat or talk through the decisions you need to make. Plus, they know the area and all the great suppliers.

Did you honeymoon?

We didn’t honeymoon as Alasdair’s family had made such a long journey to see us. We will however be honeymooning in Europe next year.
