Getting Fit For Your Wedding: 5 things you should be doing now!

These top 5 tips will have you on your way to a fit wedding bod!

Watch your portions

Most women either eat too much or too little. A great tip is to measure the portions you’re putting on your plate with your hands!

- One palm size of protein

- One closed fist for vegetables

- One handful of Carbohydrate rich foods

- One thumb size of healthy fats

Be prepared

Prepare your lunch the night before and pack healthy snacks to munch on between meals. This will help stop those 3pm sweet cravings.

Pack your gym bag the night before, or if you’re an early bird wear your gym clothes to bed!

Incorporate exercise daily

You don’t need to be vigorously working out every day, just start encouraging your body to move regularly in your normal routine. You’ll be amazed at how you feel by just taking the stairs instead of the lift, going for a walk around the block during your lunch break or hopping on the bus from the further bus stop.


You need to be getting in at least 2 litres a day. Take a water bottle to work and track your intake for the day. Your metabolism will increase and you’ll flush out all those nasties from your body sooner.

Give your body a rest

Look at getting at least 7-9 hours of sleep each night. If you’re not well rested digestion will be slower and your body will try and conserve energy during the day and not burn as many calories. If you’re struggling to sleep just start with going to bed 15 minute earlier. Don’t try for an hour at a time.
