The Romantic Honeymoon

The Romantic Honeymoon

After some romantic time together? Here are a few of our favourite dreamy spots for newlyweds.

Fiji | Islands made for storybooks, with white sandy beaches lined with palm trees and turquoise waters, romance is a given! Especially when you feel like you are the only person on the island. There are a few islands and resorts to choose from, including Royal Dayui Island Resort, which is an adults-only sanctuary. Only a few guests are allowed on the island at one time and staff know you by name! The villas are completely private and surrounded by lush tropical landscape and the beaches are lined with corals abundant with marine life. Snorkel hand in hand, have complete privacy and indulge in each other’s company!

Venice, Italy | Hop on a private gondola whilst sipping champagne, or explore the cobbled streets and discover hidden gems to wine and dine. Venice really is one of the most romantic places in the world. Built on over 100 small islands, Venice has no roads, just a maze of gorgeous canals topped off with Renaissance and Gothic palaces. All that plus museums, cathedrals, cafes, bars and sooo many shops, it’s the perfect place to explore with your love!

Paris, France | There’s a reason this city is the romantic capital of the world; whether it’s summer or winter, there isn’t a better place to hold hands and explore! A photo of a smooch under the Eiffel Tower is a must, then Notre-Dame Cathedral, the Arc de Triomphe, spot Mona Lisa at the Louvre, browse in designer stores and finish the day with a romantic candle-lit dinner and a bottle of fine French wine!

Santorini, Greece | For a different seaside getaway head to Santorini; one of the beautiful Greek islands near Athens. Whitewashed houses with rounded blue roofs cling to cliffs overlooking the aqua waters of the Mediterranean. You can hire scooters to jet around the island, or just wander the streets of the two main towns Fira and Oia. Ending the day with a picturesque sunset and a cocktail from one of the many rooftop bars.

Norway | There’s something so romantic about snuggling up in front of a crackling fire with a hot chocolate and your loved one. There are mountains, glaciers and deep coastal fjords. Find a cute cabin in the mountains or by a lake, and spend your days exploring snowy wonderlands or wandering the city. Norway is also one of the best spots in the world to see the Northern Lights – and we honestly couldn’t think of a more romantic thing to do. There are so many romantic destinations on our beautiful earth. Find out what your husband-to-be wants and then cater your trip to suit you both, remember it’s the time to celebrate your love for each other. Enjoy.
